Community Transit

A-LIFT (Adams County Community Transit) provides accessible

and affordable door-to-door transportation to older adults and

persons with mobility impairments.  Riders can travel with us to

medical and dental appointments, grocery shopping, meal sites,

and community-based care programs.

 

A-LIFT uses small buses and a station wagon to maximize

funding and extend hours and boundaries.  Safety and quality

service is our goal.  A-LIFT ensures individual independence,

provides mobility for self-sufficiency, and the opportunity to

participate fully in the life of the community.

What is the mission of A-LIFT?

To promote mobility and independence for older adults and the disabled through a community

partnership committed to accessible and affordable transportation in Adams County.

 

How can I schedule a ride?

Please call A-LIFT at Seniors� Resource Center at 303-235-6972 or 6974

from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Rides are available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Have the following information ready when you call:

How much does a ride cost?

No person shall be denied a ride because of failure to contribute to all or a part of the

cost of any ride. Donations are appreciated. A-LIFT is provided by funding through the

Comprehensive Older Americans Service Act, Adams County, the cities of Arvada,

Commerce City, Federal Heights, Northglenn, Thornton and Westminster, and through

your donations. Donations of any amount are accepted; we suggest a donation of $5.00

per ride in 2007/2008. Donation envelopes are available from drivers or in the mail.

 

When should I call in to reserve a ride?

Call 303-235-6972/6974 to make a reservation. At least two to three working days�

advance notice is strongly recommended. You may contact us up to 2 weeks ahead of a ride.

 

How do I cancel a ride?

Please call 303-235-6999 to cancel a ride. It is very important to cancel your ride if you no

longer need it. This can open up space for others waiting for our services.

 

Who do I call with questions, complaints or grievances?

Riders can call 303-235-6970 to speak directly to the Transportation Services manager, or leave

a message. The call will be returned as soon as is practicable.
