Senior Solutions
Senior Solutions offers resource information, problem solving, and counseling in areas such as housing, legal, financial, health care, and emergency assistance. The program also operates the following services for Adams County older adults to help them maintain health and independence in their own homes:Senior Solutions Emergency Food Bank -
In emergency situations, Adams County seniors may access this food bank as often as every 3
months.
Medical Equipment Lending Service -
Durable medical equipment, such as bath benches, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. is
loaned free of charge for up to 8 weeks.
Minor Home Repair Program - This program has a referral network of qualified handymen who work at a very low rate, usually around $20 per hour, for seniors. All handymen are self-employed, though they have been interviewed and screened by The Senior Hub, Inc. Handymen are not bonded or insured by The Senior Hub, Inc. For qualified low-income clients, Senior Solutions will subsidize the cost of repairs, including parts and labor, which impact the safety and/or livability of the home. This subsidy is limited to $200 per client per year.
Care Management - Senior Solutions' newest program provides comprehensive assistance and guidance in coordinating long-term care, home-health care, or other services based on an in-home needs assessment and an individualized care plan for a modest fee. Supportive services can be arranged and monitored. Please call 303-426-4408 to schedule an appointment.
